SEMA Reproductive Health (Shaping Equitable Market Acces)

Baobab Institute Founder and President Pape Gaye has been supporting the establishment of SEMA a new initiative focused on supporting participating countries to adopt a market approach to Reproductive Health Supplies.
Gaye has been part of the Steering Committee and is also the Co-Chair of the Technical Oversight Committee. Also in collaboration with Gamo Tounkara from Baobab Institute’s strategic partner GRAG ( Global Research and Advocacy Group) Gaye is serving as focal point for Senegal and Burkina working with Ministries of Health and implementing parthers ( CHAI and RESADE) to introduce and kick off SEMA in those two countries.
The first cross-country workshop was held in Dakar from Oct.11-13 and was attended by participants from SEMA’s Global Team and participants from Senegal, Burkina Faso and Nigeria the current priority countries
