Multilingual communications professional Mariam Bagayoko brings more than 20 years of experience in the international development and non-profit sectors to the table. Working in French, English, and Spanish, Mariam writes, translates, and edits, always with the goal of helping her clients bring their message and mission to a broader audience.

Born to Malian parents in the suburbs of Paris, Mariam has a keen understanding of the challenges and opportunities that intercultural communication presents. After earning degrees in languages, political science, international relations, and American civilization—including a year in New York as part of the NYU Graduate School of Arts and Science fellowship program– Mariam combined her communications skills with her personal commitment to global health, gender equality, and social justice, working as a translator, researcher, and writer for NGOs, private charitable foundations, UN agencies. Comfortable in French, English, and Spanish, Mariam’s communications work combines her lifelong passion for languages with her academic background in international relations and politics. Equally, at home in Paris, New York, and West Africa, Mariam works with clients on both sides of the Atlantic, traveling frequently to the US to keep her near-native English skills in tune. Wherever she is in the world, Mariam enjoys an early morning run almost every day, and she is also an avid amateur photographer.
